16 May 2013 Please take a minute and watch this video before reading the rest of this blog post. Robert Levinson is approaching the 7 year mark as a hostage overseas. Keep that in mind. 2 May 2013 It might seem odd that someone who worked at the CIA would offer up an [...]

There seems to be a steady increase in the relationship between the DoD and the IC since 9/11/01. It may have been as a result of the 9/11 commission, or it simply could be a common occurrence when the proverbial shit hits the fan. Journalistic accounts of the interactions between the military and the CIA during Vietnam are everywhere and yet you don’t read much about military interaction with the IC from 1975 until post 9/11; aside from the failed attempt at rescuing the Americans held during the Iran Hostage Crisis.

The Agency houses some of the most intelligent and hard-working people, but even those premier Officers can’t escape a case of the “Mondays”. These Intel Officers attempt to protect US citizens and national interests (often times in spite of the bureaucracy that pretends to guide it) at a great personal sacrifice of personal time, social life, and public acknowledgement of their service. Inglorious Amateurs' Sean P. Sullivan shares an Agency Officer's case of the "mondays".

An excellent article on Libya by former CIA Analyst and Targeting Officer Nada Bakos. It is reposted here via Huffington Post. "Withdrawing from the world is every bit as implausible as treating every militia as if it is al Qaeda." - Indeed!
